Excellent Heat Resistance: The long-term working temperature of XLPE (cross-linked polyethylene) insulated cables is typically 90°C, with an overload temperature of 130°C and a short-circuit temperature that can reach 250°C (for 5 seconds). This characteristic is significantly better than ordinary polyethylene (PE) and polyvinyl chloride (PVC) insulated cables.

High-quality electrical performance: XLPE insulation maintains PE's good electrical properties and further improves insulation resistance. Its dielectric loss tangent is very small and basically remains unchanged with temperature variations.

Good Mechanical Properties: Cross-linked PE not only retains its original excellent mechanical properties but also improves its resistance to environmental stress cracking, exhibiting good wear resistance and the ability to withstand concentrated mechanical stresses.

Stable Chemical Properties: XLPE has strong resistance to acids, alkalis, and oils, and its combustion products are only CO2 and H2O, posing minimal harm to the environment and meeting modern fire safety requirements.

Applications:

XLPE-insulated control cables are suitable for use as transmission lines in automatic control or monitoring systems, electrical instrument connections, and other applications with an AC-rated voltage of 450/750V and below. They are also commonly used for power transmission and distribution in power lines and substations.
